This Privacy Policy applies to our mobile application Roomify and its associated website roomify.live (collectively, our "Service"). By accessing or using our Service, you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to our collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Definitions
- Company: Kodus Technologies, registered in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
- App: The Roomify mobile application available on Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Service: The AI-powered interior design service provided by Roomify.
- Personal Data: Any information that directly or indirectly allows for the identification of a natural person.
- Device: Any internet connected device used to access the App.
- You: A person or entity registered with Roomify to use the Services.
Information We Collect
Account Information
- Name, email address, and authentication credentials when you create an account.
- Google or Apple account name/ID (whichever you use to sign in).
Room Photos & Design Data
- Images you upload for AI design generation.
- Design preferences: room type selections, style choices, and customization inputs.
- Generated designs, edits, and product extractions.
Transaction Information
- Subscription plan, billing cycle, credit usage history.
- In-app purchase records. Payment card details are processed by Apple/Google and never stored by us.
Device & Usage Information
- Device type, operating system, app version, IP address.
- App interactions, features used, session information, and crash logs.
Information Automatically Collected
Certain information is collected automatically when you use our Service, including your IP address, device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, and usage patterns. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our platform, and for internal analytics and reporting purposes. This automatically collected information does not reveal your specific identity.
How We Use Your Information
To Provide Our Services
- Process your room photos through AI for design generation.
- Generate, store, and display your design history and product extractions.
- Process and manage your account, subscription, and credits.
- Answer requests for customer or technical support.
- Process payment information for subscriptions and credit packs.
For Administrative Purposes
- Detect security incidents and protect against malicious or fraudulent activity.
- Measure interest and engagement in our Services.
- Improve, upgrade or enhance our Services and develop new features.
- Debug to identify and repair errors.
- Enforce our agreements and policies and comply with legal obligations.
For Communication
- Send important service updates, subscription notifications, and billing alerts.
- Communicate about your account, activities, and policy changes.
- We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.
AI Processing & Your Photos
When you upload a room photo, it is sent to our AI service for analysis and design generation. Your photos are:
- Processed solely for generating your requested design.
- Not used to train AI models without your explicit consent.
- Stored securely on our cloud servers with encryption in transit and at rest.
- Accessible only to you through your authenticated account.
AI-generated designs are for visualization and inspiration purposes and should not be considered professional interior design advice.
Data Storage & Security
- All data is encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL.
- Photos and designs are stored on secure cloud servers with access controls.
- Account data is stored with row-level security policies.
- Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using encrypted storage.
- Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis.
In the event of a personal data breach, we will take appropriate measures including assessment, mitigation, and notification to affected users and relevant authorities where required by law.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- AI service providers for room analysis, design generation, and product extraction.
- Cloud storage providers for secure image storage and delivery.
- Database and authentication providers for user management.
- Apple App Store / Google Play Store for payment processing and subscription management.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your photos or designs with advertisers or marketing partners.
Product Links & Shopping
The App displays product links to third-party retailers (Amazon, Flipkart, IKEA, Pepperfry, etc.). When you click these links, you leave our Service and interact with the retailer's website governed by their own privacy policies.
Data Retention
- Account data and designs: Retained while your account is active.
- Transaction records: Retained for up to 6 years for tax and legal compliance.
- Upon account deletion: All associated data permanently removed within 30 days.
- Anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely for service improvement.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data stored in our systems.
- Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Export your design history and data.
- Withdraw consent for data processing at any time.
- Object to processing of your personal data.
- Request restriction or portability of your personal data.

Push Notifications
Roomify may send push notifications regarding design completions, subscription updates, or service announcements. You can manage or disable notifications through your device settings at any time.
Account Deletion & Data Removal
You can delete your account from within the App (Profile > Delete Account & Data) or by contacting hiraj@kodus.in. All associated data will be permanently removed within 30 days. Active subscriptions must be cancelled separately through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Purchases are non-refundable upon account deletion.
Children's Privacy
Our Service is not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you are a parent or guardian aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us and we will remove it.
Information for Indian Users
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), you have the following additional rights:
- Right to access information about your personal data being processed.
- Right to correction and erasure of your personal data.
- Right to grievance redressal.
- Right to nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity.
For grievances related to your personal data, contact our Grievance Officer at hiraj@kodus.in. We will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within 30 days.
International Data Transfers
Your personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside India, as we use cloud servers and services located globally. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including data processing agreements, encryption, and compliance with applicable data protection laws.
Sale of Business
We reserve the right to transfer information to a third party in the event of a sale, merger, or other transfer of all or substantially all of the assets of Kodus Technologies, provided that the third party agrees to adhere to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated with at least 15 days' notice through the App or via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you may delete your account.
